The restaurant is located within the Castello del Sole, a luxury resort with 140 hectares and all possible comforts: charming rooms, a wellness and spa area, a private beach and a nature reserve.

Chef Mattias Roock

Born in Northern Germany, he found himself in Ticino for the first time at the age of 21 and fell in love with it. Following various work experiences around the world, from Doha to Shanghai, he returned to southern Switzerland and, in 2016, became Executive Chef at the 5-star Castello del Sole hotel in Ascona. Since then he and his team have been delighting palates and promoting sustainability in the kitchen.
