Olimpia
Chef Egidio Iadonisi
The Olimpia Restaurant has always been considered Lugano's "good living room". Since the construction of the Palazzo Civico in 1844, there is evidence of the presence of the café named "Terrani", after one of its owners. The café was immediately frequented by the Luganese bourgeoisie and, during the six years of the government's turn, by State Councillors and government officials. But also by the professors of the cantonal high school and by illustrious personalities such as "Carlo Cattaneo" who used to hold "brasera" there, that is, from the Milanese dialect: conversation.
The Restaurant Bar Olimpia continues its testimony as an ambassador of the best gastronomy and welcoming spirit that a modern and convivial city like Lugano can offer. The spaces have been renovated, the ambience is cosy, comfortable and discreet, directly in Piazza Riforma, a stone's throw from Lake Lugano.
Chef Iadonisi and his highly trained team will delight you with Mediterranean specialities, prepared with high quality products from Ticino and neighbouring Italy. The menu includes mouth-watering first courses, succulent meat dishes and appetising pinse (traditional Roman pizza).
