A historic restaurant, happily nestled between land and lake in the small village of Riva San Vitale, a few kilometres from Mendrisio. Today it has been returned to gourmets shining in a new light.
It is the new Porto Pojana - Terminus Restaurant that pampers gourmets with its classy cuisine specialising in seafood, its enchanting and versatile dining rooms, a smokers' lounge with cigars and spirits, a wine cellar that stocks fine and famous labels, an enchanting lakeside terrace, and green spaces for aperitifs and small events. Porto Pojana offers ample parking for its customers and convenient moorings for those who reach the restaurant by their own boat or scheduled boat service.
The restaurant is housed in a building steeped in history and tradition. It was built at the end of the 19th century as a refreshment point for the stagecoaches that travelled between St Gallen and Varese (hence the name Terminus).
The restaurant's gastronomic philosophy is based on a constant search for the best raw materials and on culinary techniques that allow products to be enhanced in the name of simplicity, without altering their natural flavours and fragrances. The preparations, of great quality, are enhanced by following and respecting the slow changing of the seasons.

November, December, March and April: open Thursday through Saturday 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m.; Sunday 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
May through October: Mondays closed; Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.; Thursdays through Sundays 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
