Cantina alla Maggia & Terreni alla Maggia
Falling in love with nature
The Ticino winery Cantina alla Maggia was born from the roots of the Terreni alla Maggia farm, founded in 1930.
On 11.5 hectares of vineyards, Cantina alla Maggia produces a representative selection of wines. It ranges from Merlot to Bondola, a native Ticino grape variety, to flagship wines that mature in barrels. Products also include three types of grappa, an excellent yuzu gin and a whiskey.A pioneer of rice cultivation in Switzerland, Terreni alla Maggia is the farm that impresses with the innovation and high quality of its products. In addition to rice for risotto of the "Loto" variety, three different varieties of corn for polenta and durum wheat are produced for the only pasta made from 100 percent Ticino raw materials.
All products are sold in the Ascona store, the Enoteca Alimentare, where tours, tastings and events are also organized.
